For statistics take level 80:

• Strength: 167 to wear the boots
• Dexterity: enough to wear your claws, 79 for Bartuc
• Vitality: the rest
• Energy: 0

For the bearings:

• FBR: 0, although 50% chance to block with claws
• FCR: 0, no interest without the Enigma
• FHR: 86%, the other being 200%
• IAS: 0 or 20, to launch your traps faster with double Bartuc

In terms of resistance:

• around 50% to all resistances and 28% damage reduced

• Transparency: 1, for resistances and each point gives 1% reduced damage
• Venom: 1, for your weapons in green
• Shadow Mantle: 1 plus defense
• Shadow Warrior: 1, mimic your spells

• Fire Discharge: max, to kill immune lightning
• Electrical field: the rest, synergy
• Electric Sentinel: max, synergy
• Lightning Sentinel: max, your main spell
• Death Sentinel: max, to kill the immune lightning

• Helmet: Assassin circlet or Shako socket Um
• Amulet: assassin skill and stats

• Boots: Shadow Dancer Shadow Dervish
• Rings: Frozen and Rare Raven with Strength Resistance
• Charms: a Torch

Mercenary Equipment

Choice of mercenary:

• Act 2 nightmare will have ice, to make it easier for your sentries to aim

Equipment to be recovered:

• Helmet: Tal Rasha or Crown of Thieves
• Weapon: Insight for damage and mana aura
• Armor: Lionheart for strength and endurance

Gameplay

Here are some examples of instances very easily done with the assassin:

• Cow Level: cows are very easy to kill, just make a pack and then kill one for your Sentinels to detonate a corpse and kill the pack in seconds
• Diablo: Chaos Sanctuary is also very simple, progress with the Lightning Sentinels and kill the immune ones with Fire Blast. Diablo will melt under the combination of these two spells in seconds!
