Craft Guide Diablo IV Season 4 Patch 1.4, gems, socket, codex, engraving, enchanting, masterworking, tempering, trade, superior affix!

Preamble

This guide gives you how all the ways to craft an item work. In the majority of cases, you will have to go through all four types of crafting to have the best possible item. Remember that if you use one of these crafts, theitem will no longer be exchangeable.

Diablo 4 items

Diablo 4 objects are made and modifiable as follows:

• an object base, unchangeable
• three basic affixes for legendaries, modifiable via enchantment, improveable via masterworking and obtainable in a more powerful version
• two additional affixes, which you can add via tempering
• a legendary power, changeable via the codex
• the objects have a power, up to 925 which will be systematically obtained on all monsters of level 95 and above

Note that it is no longer possible to improve the item level from 1 to 5 with patch 1.4, only via masterworking. Unique items have four affixes and are not modifiable, you can only improve their power through masterworking. Yellow objects have two affixes and have no interest, other than recycling them for their materials.

Diablo 4 Gems and sockets

You can add holes to your weapons, helmet, armor, leggings and accessories. To do this, you will need the prism material, obtained from world bosses and farm bosses, such as Grigoire, Lord Zir, etc. With Season 4, you can now recover stats on your armor pieces and directly from critical damage or vulnerable damage.

Diablo 4 Aspect Engraving and Codex

Aspect Engraving allows you to add or change the legendary power of your item. By recycling your legendary items, you write your power into your codex. You can then use this power at will. If you recycle the same power again, the highest value will be retained. Depending on the item base (normal, sacred, ancestral), the power may be more powerful and finally, you also have a range of variability per power. Once you have obtained the maximum possible value, you will have peace of mind in this aspect!

Diablo 4 Enchantment

The enchantment allows you to change one of three affixes via the occultist. You have the list of affix possibilities and will only be able to change a single affix.

Diablo Tempering

With the Tempering system, you can add two new affixes to your item. To do this, you will need to find a manual, which you can use at will once obtained. Each manual, including the associated affixes, is linked to a type of the codex, such as resource, mobility, offensive, etc. Each manual has four affixes, so you'll have a 50/50 chance of getting the one you want. You will have to add the affixes each in turn and will be able to reroll the affixes obtained, within the limit of the number of crafts indicated. Note that you can use crafting recipes at will and that they have a rarity, magical, rare or legendary.

Diablo 4 Greater Affixes

The three basic affixes can be obtained in an improved way and their value will be multiplied by 1,5. For example, an item with intelligence ranging from 50 to 100 will necessarily be 150. These items will only be obtainable as drops and will therefore be very valuable! You can get one to three affixes from a good drop! Be careful, enchanting a superior affix will cause you to lose it and give you a normal affix.

Diablo 4 masterworking

To perfect your item, you can increase their power from level 1 to 12. Each level will increase the five affixes of a legendary item or the four affixes of a unique item. Every four levels a random affix will be greatly improved. This system will be even more interesting for objects with higher affixes! You will need :

• level 1 to 4: blue materials, Pit level 100 to 120
• level 5 to 8: yellow rare materials, Pit level 120 to 140
• tier 9 to 12: legendary orange materials, Pit level 140+

Keep in mind:

• you can transmute blue materials from yellows and yellows from oranges via the alchemist.
• you can reset your upgrade, but all resources used in the upgrade will be lost
• you can do this reset at any time, so it will be quite practical after reaching the first level if you are looking to improve a particular affix
• you must have added the two tempering affixes to make an improvement
