HR High Runes are not commonplace, however there are a few tricks to increase your chances of finding them on Diablo 2 Resurrected!

What is an HR?

Before starting this guide, a reminder about HR High Runes:

• these are the rarest runes in the game, allowing you to make very beautiful runic words
• they can also be useful

  • Ber for reduced damage
  • Zod to make indestructible
  • etc.
• HRs start from Gul, although Gul and Vex are lower in terms of market value than the following

The key points for dropping HR

Here's everything you need to know about HR drops:

• Density: the more monsters, the better
• Health point of monsters: the more life they have, the less interesting it is, cows are therefore only to be done if you have a character for them.
• Zone level: the zone must be level 81 to be able to drop a rune
• Number of players: this is the only thing that can give you more runes, the MF and other factors (time of day, zone, etc) do not change anything
• Type of enemy: you have more chance of recovering an HR on an elite, superelite then boss

How to drop HRs

If you understood the theory, here is the practice:

• Be in a split game of at least 5
• Each take one of the areas below, choosing an area that you do very quickly
• Kill all small creeps with one hit and elites with two or three hits
• You will have to get one after 20 to 30 hours

Here are the areas:

• Cows, only if javazon, assassin trap or necromancer bone for example
• The Pit La Fosse
• The tomb
• Chaosrun, in the sanctuary and the river of fire
• Possibly areas before Baal or 85 instances you do very quickly

The Countesses and Chest runs

Here are two false good ideas before finding HR:

• the Countess can drop to Lo with a lot of luck, not very interesting
• Chest Runs also require a lot of luck, however some runs also have chests. I therefore advise you to farm the areas a little lower while opening the chests

Keep in mind that recovering an HR in these areas is never guaranteed, here are some examples:

• Astorias 2 Ber in 100 Cow
• Alchemists 0 HR in 500 travincal and 100 Cow
• Alchemists 1 HR in 100 Pit

• Astorias 1 Ber and 1 Lo in River of Fire
