Things to know before evaluating your items

This method is important to know because the prices depend on the state of a season. For example, it will be very interesting to have a Tal Rasha at the start of the season (7-8 Ists of value), but much less at the end (2 Ists of value). Before looking at the price of your items, there are a few things to know. Above all, this will allow you to avoid being fooled and help you find your items better.

• you must know the translations and abbreviations of the object you are looking for
  • for example the runic word Cri de Ralliement is CTA (Call To Arm), the Crown of the Ages is COA (Crown of Age),
  • your search will be much more relevant (more results and more precise) with the term COA rather than Couronne des Ages
• you must know the key elements of your object, unfortunately there is no other way to know them than by experience:
  • for the CTA it is Order of Battle, for example a CTA 1 costs Ist + Mal, a CTA 6 costs about 2 Ohm, so it is crucial to specify in your research
  • for COA it is the number of holes, resistances and damage reduced, for example a COA 2 25 13 means 2 holes, 25 at all resistances and 13% damage reduced. A 1-hole COA is worth almost nothing, whereas the one indicated before a small packet of Ist
• so when looking for your item, you will have to compare it to something similar on statistics that only matters!
• for blue and rare items, remember to always compare with a single item
  • Amazon Javelins: Titan gives +4 javelin and up to 200% more damage, if your blue and rare javelins don't at least do that you can throw them
  • a barbarian helmet: Arreat gives +2 barb, +2 mastery, life stolen, stats, resistances ... you will need a very solid object to compete
• for unique items, tell yourself that the majority of your items do not cost anything, evaluate them each time if you are not used to it, and then remember them

Sites to evaluate

I offer three sites to evaluate your objects, the idea is to search for the object as indicated above on its sites and see their price.

D2Jsp

First site and the one I use all the time to review because it represents the highest traffic. It is a site where you will inevitably find your object, even if you have very specific crafts, you will necessarily have something similar to it. This is however the most complicated, it is in English and you have to convert the price of an item into a rune, as the prices are displayed in FG, the currency of the site. The big advantage is that you also see the offers to buy, that is to say the prices really paid by the buyers.

Example, I am looking to rate my CTA 3:

1. I go to the forum of D2JSP Diablo 2 Resurrected in Softcore
2. I type CTA 3 in the search bar
3. I look at its price, it costs around 350 fg
4. I look at the price of Ists in fg, they cost 50 fg
5. my CTA 3 therefore costs 7 Ists

It is therefore a fairly complicated but infallible method for dimensioning your objects. It is personally through this system that I evaluate all my items, but you will need a little time!

Aoeah

Second alternative, you will also have to do a conversion but you can directly find all the objects that interest you. It's simpler than D2Jsp, and their database is always up-to-date. Proceed in the same way as with D2Jsp, find your item, look at its price in euros, look at the price of a rune and do the conversion! The big advantage is "neutral", in the sense that the prices depend on the market (and not on a player who wants to sell his item more than the price it costs).

Trading

Third alternative, the simpler but less precise. You can use the Traderie site to directly get an estimate. It's easier because you have the price in runes directly, but there are fewer offers and these are less precise. It is also quite common to see completely delusional offers on the site. Also, unlike D2Jsp, you don't know how much buyers paid for the item. Traderie therefore gives you an idea but be careful
