A single active paragon, but not only, to understand how circles and squares work
You can activate only one paragon, but that doesn't mean you can't take advantage of certain bonuses from other branches.
- square shapes only work when the paragon path is activated Triumphant or Survivor or Treasure Hunter or Gladiator or Soldier or Genie
- round shapes are permanent bonuses regardless of your paragon choice
- you have a paragon reset every seven days
It is therefore important to properly optimize your paragons!
Generic paragons
Here is the reminder of the paragons and their usefulness:
- Triumphant: for damage - paragon 0
- Survivor: so as not to die - paragon 0
- Treasure Hunter: for the open world - paragon 50
- Gladiator: for pvp - paragon 50
- Soldier: for group bonuses and resistance - paragon 150
- Genius: to play in groups of four different classes - paragon 150
The Triumphant Paragon
The Surviving Paragon
The Treasure Hunter Paragon
The Gladiator Paragon
Triumphant Versatile DPS Paragon
If you're DPS and want to keep it simple, just max everything in triumphant. Take Zele then Courroux then CÅ“ur. You can then take armor penetration and life. You will need 100 paragon points to complete the tree, then you can recover the passives of your choice, such as damage on Treasure Hunter for example.
The paragon for damage in all circumstances
Paragon DPS Outworld Treasure Hunter
If you are a DPS and you spend a lot of time farming watch series, bestiaries, etc. in the outside world, you will have to use this paragon. Activate Treasure Hunter and go get Find Treasure, Find Gold, then Greed. Don't go for Stroke though, because that would require 20 points in Power, which is wasted. You will therefore go back to Triomphatrice, to take the damage, armor penetration and life nodes. Avoid taking Pocket Enlarged because you need 10 power points. You will have 131 points to spend to complete the tree, then take the first nodes from the Survivor and Gladiator branches.
Paragons for damage and the outside world
Paragon PvP Gladiator
If you play a lot of PvP, the Paragon Gladiator will give you a lot of advantages. It is only to be taken for PvP as it decreases control effects and gives an extra life if a player kills you. It is therefore a very good asset in PvP but useless in PvE. Go through the top lane to get Quickness, don't take Power and therefore Trapper, which I don't find very useful. Then take Cheat Death. Quick recovery costs a lot of points, I don't recommend it. Instead, take Gladiator's life and damage and then Triumphator's damage. You will need 144 points in total.
The paragon to play DPS in PvP
Paragon Tank Survivor
For the Paragon Tank it's quite simple, take the Survivor tree with Inflexibility, Master of Evasion, Toughness and Precognition then Indefectibility. Be careful, Indefectibility only works on monsters, unlike Gladiator which only works in PvP. You can take both armor lanes if you're interested in both passives, otherwise just the bottom one. Pick up Indefectibility and Precognition, then grab passives from the Gladiator tree, which give a lot of life and help in PvP. Then go get the 25 life from the Triumphant tree. You will need 122 points, 143 points if you also took Toughness.
The ultimate paragon suit to resist
Paragon PvP and Open World Treasure Hunter and Gladiator
Probably the most versatile paragon as a DPS player, take the two lines of Treasure Hunter then that of Gladiator as shown below. Activate Gladiator when you are in GvG or PvP, otherwise keep Treasure Hunter active! Put the rest of the points in Triumphant Damage!
Paragon Support
There really isn't a useful paragon for support, so you can either turn to the genius paragon to buff your group in PvE, soldier in PvP or the tank paragon to resist and take aggro.
