The new Diablo 3 season 4 patch 1.3.0.a offers numerous fixes for the Echo of Malphas and the Seneschal Companion!

This patch was applied on January 27, 2024.

Echo of Malphas

Here are the changes on theEcho of Malphas Diablo 4, which becomes even more powerful but gives more drops:

• the level increases from 85 to 100, the boss's life is increased by 30%
• Instead of using pearls of warding to access the dungeon, you will have a new resource, the Igneous Heart, which you can obtain via vault chests or Sons of Malphas in T4. You will need 7 hearts
• chance of dropping unique stones from 0,25% to 0,5% on Malphas and 3% in chests after the boss
• killing Echo of Malphas will grant legendary and level 925 item benefits

Companion Seneschal

Here are the changes to the Seneschal, which makes it easier to improve the companion:

• creating a stone costs less resources
• if you have a max level stone, finding this stone will give 150 to 200 dust
• collecting a bounty will give you stones
• the Sons of Malphas gives 2 to 3 stones
• the stones of Sénéchal's caches are increased
• improving stones is easier and therefore requires less identical stone to improve them

Quality of life

Here are the quality of life improvements:

• pearls give 10 wardings instead of 3
• max accumulation of pearls at 999 instead of 300
• 1.5 seconds instead of 1 second to be hit by a trap again and lose a protection stack
• the sons of Malphas give before objects
• obelisks no longer push back opponents
• a bonus chest at the end of a vault dungeon (the room before the protected chests)
• some reductions in trap effectiveness
