How to prepare for Diablo IV season 1 and rush experience, gear, and easily transition into nightmare and torment!

Time and Date Season 1 Diablo 4

Season 1 starts on Thursday, July 20 at 19 p.m., good news if you live in Europe! Remember to update your game, especially following the arrival of the major patch 1.1. It should last three to four months, with a potential end around October. You will have access to Malignant Hearts as well as 6 unique and 7 aspects (also available in non-seasonal from July 18).

For this season, you can find 32 Malignant Hearts by killing corrupted monsters. Each type of corrupted monster will give you a type of heart. The game offers you a new type of dungeon, the Evil Tunnels to find these hearts. You will also be able to face a new boss, which promises to be a great challenge, Varshan. More information should be communicated with the release of patch 1.1. You will also have a series of new quests linked to the season.

Season 1 preparations

Several elements related to your progress in the game will be kept for your seasonal character. We therefore advise you to unlock them before, whether you are in Softcore or Hardcore. Here are the items transferred and what you need to do:

• the altars of Lilith
  • collect all altars in all five regions
• the rewards of the five regions
  • unlock the max tier for each region, you will want to have the skill bonuses then paragon
• the status of your campaign (finished / not finished)
  • complete the campaign, you can choose to skip the campaign which will save you valuable time
• exploration of the map (but not the waypoints)
  • it will be easier to navigate your seasonal character

In order to transfer all this, you will absolutely need to log in after the application of patch 1.1 on July 18 with your character who has progressed the most.

How to rush the season experience and equipment

Before detailing the level phases, keep in mind these levels:

• level 1, you will get 10 bonus skill points
• level 50, you will enjoy 20 bonus paragon points
• you will need to have a build suitable for leveling so as not to waste time and optimize your leveling

Be careful, you will have to adapt the balance between Tunnels and Nightmare Dungeons, this article will be updated to include their interest.

Diablo 1 level 40-4 phase

Here is what you need to do for this level:

• for the experience
  • go to high density areas and take side quests as needed, do all the legions
  • do your specialization quest as soon as possible
  • if you are effective enough, put yourself in higher level areas (southeast region for example)
  • start in world 2 then go back to world 1 around level 20, unless you kill all the elites at once
  • do the world bosses as soon as possible
• for equipment
  • don't worry about legendaries unless you find a crit for your build
  • you will have to change your equipment very often, keeping a legendary can quickly handicap you
  • take of course the highest equipment, if your weapon is too weak, possibly use obols, but only in this case (pay attention to the level of the objects of the obol merchant)

Diablo 40 level 60-4 phase

Here is what you need to do for this level:

• for the experience
  • continue as the step before
• for equipment
  • start keeping the legendary items of your build, eventually do the dungeons unlocking the aspects you need
• transition to T3
  • you will go from T1 to T3 directly, as soon as you are powerful enough only go to T2 to do the dungeon unlocking T3
  • once the T3 is unlocked, redo the activities as before, giving priority to whisper, world bosses, and hellish waves. You will spend a little time and die several times but would start to collect the sacred items
  • equip yourself with sacred objects, without necessarily the legendary powers, especially for the weapon
  • only if you are blocked, use your materials to convert your rare weapon into legendary, especially do not do it on the rest of the equipment
  • keep leveling up and being in legendary holy full gear with your build powers
  • upgrade all your equipment to power 4/5
  • do nightmare dungeons and loop tunnels, possibly hellish waves to prepare for T4

Diablo 60 level 75-4 phase

Here is what you need to do for this level:

• for the experience
  • continue as the step before
• transition to T4
  • with level 60 and some, you will be able to finish the dungeon T3 of level 70 to pass in T4. Make sure you have 4/5 holy gear with the right legendary powers and an adequate build
  • once the T4 is unlocked, loop through the infernal waves to collect ancestral objects quite easily. You can also consider legions, tree of whispers and of course world bosses. In the same way as on the T3, it will be quite difficult but after a few hours you will be equipped with a T4. Do not use your materials to convert a rare item to legendary, except for the weapon
  • once your ancestral and legendary items are equipped, do nightmare dungeons in loops and tunnels and upgrade your equipment to +5. Optionally, make hellish waves if needed materials

Phase level 75+ Diablo 4

Here is what you need to do for this level:

• looping nightmare dungeons and tunnels, with 3 levels more than the highest level in the group. You can level up a bit to get more points to upgrade your glyphs, but you won't gain any extra experience.
