The latest patch focuses on bug fixes and quality of life improvement.

Fortnite is constantly updated. In a game this popular and with such varied content, there are bound to be a lot of bugs and issues that need to be fixed. That's what the update is for. The V21.30 update will bring a host of bug fixes and quality of life improvements to Save the World, Creative, and Battle Royale modes. The Battle Royale mode will also have a new weapon for players to get their hands on. So be sure to update the game if you want to play on your fortnite account.

So let's get into everything that is being fixed or added in the latest patch. I will briefly go over numerous bug fixes, but if you want the full update notes, you will need to check each news post detailing the update for each mode.

With that out of the way, let's get right into it.

Battle Royale Updates

The battle royale mode is Fortnite's most popular mode. This update hasn't changed much other than adding a new shotgun and fixing some small issues. It is important to know that the new shotgun is not available in competitive playlists.

Prime Shotgun

The Prime Shotgun has a rather unique mechanic. The first shot of the weapon will do more damage compared to the other shots in the weapon. It can be a high-risk high-reward weapon if you want to reload after every shot to get the most damage possible. However, you can use the extra shots to finish off an enemy if they are low on health.

You can find some of the bug fixes below. These are just the major ones, I'm sure even more tiny ones have been addressed in the backend.

  • Fixed an issue involving Rift-To-Gos generating no Rift but still being consumed, caused by swapping items too soon while activating the Rift-To-Go.
  • Fixed an issue that caused weapon crosshairs to scale with HUD size.
  • Fixed an issue in Team Rumble that prevented players from using Tents.
  • Fixed an issue on Nintendo Switch that caused players to freeze after sliding or mantling.
  • Fixed an issue in competitive playlists that caused Storm Sickness to reset when rebooting a teammate.
  • Fixed in a hotfix on July 12, 2022:
    • Fixed an issue that caused players' audio settings to reset to 0.
Fixed an issue that caused players' settings to not save correctly.

Creative Updates

Creative mode has plenty of bug fixes as well. But it also got a bunch of Hub updates for you and your party. A new Player Marker device has been added to Creative as well. You can use this to display various information about a player. And players who want to make their island look even more unique now have access to more gallery options.

Gallery Updates

  • • Added Creative-exclusive assets making up Deserted Fortress, which features one Prefab and three Galleries.
  • • Added the Waterfall Gallery.
  • • Added the Cuddle Tree Prop Gallery.

Device Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where players would be pushed through the Prop Manipulator device when moving near it.
  • Fixed an issue where channels were resetting on the Button device.
  • Fixed an issue with the Video Player device not playing videos in certain situations.
  • Fixed a memory issue with Item Spawners.

Save the world

Last on our list of updates is Save the World mode. Sadly, it doesn't look like it isn't getting any bug fixes. However, it is getting some new quests to complete so you can earn more cosmetics for your Fortnite account.

Birthday Quests

Birthday quests will pop up every day for a week for you to complete. Earn Birthday Llamas every day to help increase your Collection Book progress. Increasing this will help you get past heroes and items for your Fortnite account.

Hit the Road Questline

This is another questline that will pop up later. It focuses on Quinn's "Shields Up" modifier. Completing this questline will reward the player with the Whiteout Fiona skin. So if you want to increase your collection on your Fortnite account, now is the perfect time to do it.

What is PlayerAuctions?

PlayerAuctions is a Marketplace system, meaning you can buy or sell items for real money. I haven't personally tested this system, but Trustpilot reviews are good and PlayerAuctions takes the time to respond to all feedback. Be careful to choose only 5-star sellers! Here are the useful links:

In short, Fortnite's 21.30 update was a small one. If players were looking for a big change, then they will be disappointed. This update was meant to fix any bugs that came when Chapter 3 Season 3 started. However, players that use Creative mode or play Fortnite's battle royale mode will be able to find a new weapon. This weapon is available for all Fortnite accounts. Also, this patch doesn't add any new skins in the Fortnite Item Shop. Even with no substantial changes, players will be should happy that so many bugs are getting fixed.
